Air Supremacy

Air supremacy refers to a military situation in which a nation’s air force possesses complete control over the airspace above a battlefield or operational area, effectively neutralizing or eliminating the enemy’s ability to conduct aerial operations. This condition allows the controlling force to conduct its own air operations without significant interference, enabling it to achieve strategic objectives such as conducting reconnaissance, airstrikes, and support for ground troops while denying those capabilities to the opposing forces. Achieving air supremacy is often a critical objective in modern warfare, as it facilitates the successful execution of broader military campaigns.
