Taiwanese Navy

The Taiwanese Navy, formally known as the Republic of China Navy (ROCN), is the naval branch of the armed forces of Taiwan, officially referred to as the Republic of China (ROC). It is responsible for the defense of Taiwan’s territorial waters and maritime interests, as well as supporting the ROC’s overall military strategy. The Taiwanese Navy operates a variety of naval vessels, including destroyers, frigates, corvettes, submarines, and amphibious assault ships, and focuses on both defensive and offensive operations to counter potential threats, particularly from the People’s Republic of China. The Navy plays a crucial role in Taiwan’s maritime security, conducting surveillance, search and rescue operations, and humanitarian missions, as well as participating in international maritime exercises and collaborations to strengthen regional security partnerships.
